Taylor Swift: Election campaign with allusions to megastar

After Taylor Swift spoke out in favor of Kamala Harris, the US Democrats are in their “Kamala Era”.

US Vice President Kamala Harris (59) is running against former President Donald Trump (78) in the race to enter the White House. After megastar Taylor Swift (34) clearly expressed her support for the presidential candidate on the social media platform Instagram, Harris’ Democrats are continuing to rely on the singer in the election campaign.

The US Democrats are in their “Kamala era”

The Democratic National Committee has placed digital posters in New York’s Times Square and the Las Vegas Strip advertising Harris and her running mate Tim Walz (60) and alluding to Swift, as reported by industry magazine “The Hollywood Reporter” among others. The posters read, among other things, “We’re in our Kamala Era!”

There was also a poster with the words “A New Way Forward…Ready for It?” The short slogans reference Swift’s “The Eras Tour” and “…Ready for It?”, a song from her “Reputation” album. In addition, “Harris-Walz” friendship bracelets are being sold as part of the election campaign. Friendship bracelets are an absolute Swiftie must-have at the concerts of “The Eras Tour”.

Taylor Swift will “cast her vote for Kamala Harris and Tim Walz”

Swift publicly sided with Harris in an Instagram post after the televised debate between Harris and Trump. “I will be casting my vote for Kamala Harris and Tim Walz in the 2024 presidential election,” she announced in a post. “I’m voting for Kamala Harris because she fights for the rights and causes that I believe need a champion to represent them. I think she is a calm, gifted leader and I believe we can accomplish so much more in this country when we are led by calm, not chaos.”
