PSG-Inter, the Champions League final and an unprecedented duel in the official match

MUNICH.- The confrontation between the Paris Saint-Germain and the Inter from Milan Saturday in Munich is not only an unprecedented final in the Champions League, but it is the first duel between both teams in the official match.

Inter, which has three titles (the last one in 2010), and Paris Saint-Germain, which disputes its second final (the first in 2020), have never crossed in the entire history of European glasses.

An incongruity for two teams that have dozens of continental campaigns.

To find traces of matches between both clubs you have to look in the history of friendly duels, which do not abound either.

In total there are five, the most recent in the Boreal summer of 2023 in Japan, with Luis Enrique and Simone Inzaghi already as coaches of both teams.

List of those matches and their results

– December 30, 2014 in Marrakech: The PSG expires 1-0 to Inter Milan (Yohan Cabaye goal in the 57th minute).

-December 30, 2015 in Doha: The PSG expires 1-0 to Inter Milan (goal by Jean-Kevin Agustin in the 45th minute).

– July 24, 2016 in Eugene (United States): The PSG expires 3-1 to Inter Milan with Doublete Aurier (14, 87) and goal from Layvin Kurzawa (61). For Inter, Stevan Jovetic scored (45+3).

-July 27, 2019 in Macao (China): Inter Milan is imposed on penalties (1-1, 6-5). At the regulatory time, Samuele Longo (90+4) had scored for Inter and Thilo Kehrer (41) for the PSG.

– August 1, 2023 in Tokyo: Inter won 2-1 to the PSG with goals from Sebastiano Esposito (81) and Stefano Sensi (83). For the Parisians he scored Vitinha (63).

Balance favorable to the PSG with three victories, 1 draw and a defeat (7 goals in favor and 4 against).
