Rape process: Trump closes pardon "Diddy" Combs not off

U.S. President Donald Trump does not rule out a pardon with a view to the rape process against US rapper Sean “Diddy” Combs. “I would certainly take a look at the facts,” said Trump on Friday (local time) at a press conference in the White House. At the same time, an ex-assistant of the 55-year Combs in New York described her abusive employment and had to defend herself against her credibility against attacks.

The Musikmogul Combs are charged numerous outbreaks of violence and sexual crimes up to rape. In the event of a guilty verdict, the rapper threatens lifelong imprisonment.

Trump, who had repeatedly exercised his pardon right in the past, also said on Friday that he got to know the accused rapper Combs. However, he “hadn’t spoken to him for years”.

The witness, which is predicting under the pseudonym Mia, had worked for the music mogul from 2009 to 2017 and reported to the jury on Thursday of his numerous defaults against his ex-girlfriend Casandra Ventura. She was also repeatedly thrown to the victim of sexual attacks.

Combs lawyer Brian Steel confronted the witness in the cross -interpretation with her personal articles in the online service Instagram: Mia had described her former employer as an “extraordinary cultural phenomenon” and congratulated him on his birthday. Steel then doubted the credibility of her statements.

“Instagram is a place where you can show how great your own life is, even if it is not true,” said Mia and confirmed the truth of her statement. “Ask a lawyer for victims of abuse, who can explain it much better to you than I do.”

Previously, Mia had described the jury a nightmarish employment relationship with the rapper. Combs, as his assistant, commissioned Mia to provide Ventura after his outbreaks of violence. “Sometimes he treated me like his best friend, sometimes like a worthless piece of shit.” Combs threw her with ice skips and thrown them against walls. The rapper also “occasionally” sexized violence, including at the celebration of his 40th birthday.

The public prosecutor accuses the 55-year-old of sexually abusing women and men and forced to participate in drug and sex parties with threats and violence. Casandra Ventura has already testified in court for four days in the trial.

The rapper and producer rejects the allegations. The trial in New York is scheduled for eight to ten weeks.
