After the election is before the election, and if everything goes well, US President Donald Trump will be over in 2028. The US Constitution does not allow for more than two terms in office. And his second one won’t begin until the swearing-in ceremony in January next year. In other words: It is actually still far too early to think about his successor in the White House.
JD Vance – natural presidential candidate
Unless you are a betting provider and want to attract new customers with big odds and thrills.
So raise the curtain for SportsBettingDime and that Candidates for the 48th US Presidency:
The “natural” Trump successor is Vice President JD Vance at the top of the list. The betting provider currently sees his chance at 25 percent or +300. So anyone who bets 100 euros on him now would win 300 euros if he wins the election in 2028. The higher the odds, the lower the chances of success are believed to be, but the more money can be made.
However, it doesn’t happen that often that the deputy actually becomes head of the White House. Since 1933, five deputies have also become presidents. But since Trump is already 78 years old, it is not unlikely that he will be out due to illness or worse and that Vance will follow him into office as number 48.
Will they follow Donald Trump into office?
And this is what the odds look like for the most traded candidates. (Whether they have any ambition at all is another matter)
- Michelle Obama, odds +500 (The ex-first lady insists that she wants nothing to do with politics)
- Gavin Newsom, odds +550 (The governor of California is said to be ambitious)
- Ron DeSantis, odds: +800 (The governor of Florida already wanted to become the Republican candidate this year)
- Tulsi Gabbard, odds: +1000 (The former Democrat had spectacularly switched to the Republican side)
- Tucker Carlson, odds +1400 (The right-wing moderator and conspiracy theorist is considered a Trump buddy and has a huge fan base)
- Kamala Harris, odds +2500 (What the Democratic Vice President will do after her term is still unclear)
In the places with the really worthwhile odds you can still find names like ex-senator and ex-presidential candidate Hillary Clinton (+1400)Trump’s children Donald Jr. (+4000) and Ivanka (+5000) as well as wrestling actors Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson (+6600). Elon Muskrichest man in the world and also on Team Trump, has a quota (+5000), but is not allowed to run for the highest office because he was not born in the USA but in South Africa.
