MIAMI.- This Tuesday morning they found a human head on a beach in Key Biscaynein the area near the 200 block of Crandon Boulevard, where the Key Colony apartments are located.
A worker cleaning the area made the discovery around 8:30 am and notified authorities, who confirmed that the remains belong to a human being, NBC6 reported.
Aerial footage showed investigators at the scene, while a section of the beach was cordoned off. Local residents, surprised by the presence of helicopters, initially thought they were migrants, but were surprised to learn of the discovery.
“What remains to be known is where the head comes from”said a resident about the situation.
The forensic authorities will work to identify the person, in addition to investigating with the homicide department to clarify what happened.
