Mockery for Donald Trump: "Self-tanner on my fries"

Bad customer service, no gloves: After Donald Trump’s election campaign appearance, users joke about a McDonald’s branch in Pennsylvania.

Presidential candidate Donald Trump’s campaign appearance as a fries seller has unexpected consequences for a McDonald’s branch in the US state of Pennsylvania. Review platform Yelp locked the franchisee-operated store’s profile from further comments after it was flooded with fun reviews.

“The customer service was a joke,” said one review. “Senile old man smeared self-tanner on my fries and didn’t wear gloves.” Another user claimed that the man at the distribution window kept the change and claimed he gave it back. Of the store’s 104 reviews, 76 had only one star out of five possible.

Yelp pointed out that the location had recently received increased public attention – and one result was often that users commented on the messages.

“The hardest thing Donald Trump has worked in his life”

Trump wore an apron over his shirt and tie at the event. After being explained how to use the deep fryer, he handed out orders at the car window. The branch was closed for the campaign and Trump’s customers were pre-selected.

McDonald’s emphasized that it generally does not take a position in election campaigns – and approved the action at the request of the Trump team because “our doors are open to everyone.” The world’s largest fast food chain had already been drawn into the election campaign. Trump’s Democratic opponent Kamala Harris said she worked in a McDonald’s for a time when she was young. Republicans doubt this, but provide no evidence.

Tim Walz, the Democratic candidate for vice president, used the campaign to ridicule Trump. “I guarantee the five minutes that guy stood next to the fryer were the hardest he worked in his life,” Walz said during an appearance in struggling Wisconsin State. In general, Trump took the wrong job at McDonald’s: “He looks a lot more like Ronald McDonald, the clown that he actually is.”
