The Miami Dolphins and the airline Avianca celebrated their partnership by unveiling the decoration of their plane with the symbols and colors of the Miami football team.
The ceremony took place on Tuesday at Miami International Airport with the attendance of representatives of the Colombian airline and the Miami franchise.
The design says that Avianca is proud to be a partner of the Dolphins, and includes the franchise’s logo with the aqua-colored dolphin.
“As the only NFL club with global marketing rights in Colombia, we are delighted to join forces with Avianca as we enthusiastically embark together on a journey to interact more with our fans in Latin America,” said the vice president and head of marketing of the Dolphins, Pri Shumate.
In May 2023, the Dolphins and Avianca reached a three-year cooperation agreement.
“We are committed to being the best at what we do, partnering with brands and people to share our values and dedication, and we know that our partnership with the Dolphins embodies that spirit,” said Avianca business development director Ana María Copete.
As part of this alliance, the Dolphins now have visibility on Avianca planes and, for its part, the airline has the same during the Surflorida team’s games at Hard Rock Stadium.
“Together we are committed to expanding our brands internationally,” said Shumate. “We will foster our connections and celebrate the vibrant culture and passion of our Latin American community.”
Avianca celebrates this union like a touchdown in the air.
“As we unveil the new livery of our planes, we not only celebrate the great support of the Dolphins,” Copete added. “It is also further proof of our long dedication to promoting sports throughout Latin America.”
Avianca has more than 105 years of uninterrupted operations and is one of the most active airlines in Latin America with more than 140 routes and 75 destinations in 25 countries.
For their part, the Dolphins are one of the most valued franchises in the NFL and one of the most identified with Latin American fans.
