Women’s Revolt Why marriage, sex and children are now political decisions in the USA

After Donald Trump’s election victory, interest in the feminist 4B movement is increasing in the USA. A follower reports why this movement is much more than celibacy.

When Alexa Vargas woke up last Tuesday, she had a bad feeling in her gut. She was actually sure that Kamala Harris would win the US presidential election. The 26-year-old laboratory technician lives in Boston, Massachusetts, a traditionally Democratic state. In her neighborhood, “Harris & Walz” signs adorn the front yards. Nevertheless, an inner unrest arises within her, which becomes greater and greater as election day progresses.

Vargas stays up all night watching the vote count on television. Early in the morning it is clear: Kamala Harris can no longer catch up. Donald Trump becomes the 47th President of the United States. Vargas sits on her bed and can’t believe it. “It became clear to me: This is really happening again. We have to go through it again,” she said in an interview with the almost a week later star.

Women call for resistance – and it goes viral

The day after the election, Vargas recorded a video for Tiktok. She talks about abortion rights, female independence and her own experiences with domestic violence. “4B movement NOW!” is commented on hundreds of times below. “Finally,” says Alexa Vargas.
