Miami.- The current world champion of the world of Formula 1, Max Verstappenannounced on Friday on Instagram the birth of his first daughter with his girlfriend Kelly Piquet.
The Dutch, 27, published in the social network photos in which he appeared with his girlfriend and his daughter. The images were accompanied with the message: “Welcome to the world, Dulce Lily. Our hearts are more full than ever, you are our best gift. We love you very much.”
Verstappen plans to participate this weekend in the Miami Formula 1 Grand Prix. His Red Bull team indicated Thursday that the pilot would not participate on Thursday in the usual press wheels due to the expected birth of his daughter.
This is the first child of the pilot, but the second for Piquet, daughter of the triple Brazilian world champion of F1, Nelson Piquet (1981, 1983 and 1987), who already had a daughter in 2019 with her previous couple, the Russian expilot of the top category, Daniil Kvyat.
The F1 grill now has two parents: Verstappen and the German Nicko Hülkenberg, also the father of a daughter born in 2021.
Dier will leave Bayern
The English defense Eric Dier, who ends his contract with Bayern Munich at the end of the season, will not continue at the Bavarian club, announced sports director Christoph Freund.
“With Eric we have maintained conversations of these last seasons about a possible renovation. He announced that he will not renew with Bayern and leave the club at the end of the season,” Freund explained during the press conference prior to the game against RB Leipzig on Friday, which could proclaim Bayern as a German champion.
Dier arrived as assigned in January 2024 and was made with ownership in defense at the end of the 2023-2024 season, along with the Dutch Matthijs of Ligt, with Thomas Tuchel on the bench. That boreal summer was completed its transfer for a season.
With Vincent Kompany on the Bayern bench, Dier has started on less occasions, but has paid the casualties due to injury of the titular centrals, the South Korean Kim Min-Jae and the Frenchman Dayot Upamecano.
The 31 -year -old central defense, which can also play as a defensive or right side midfielder, has played 49 games as an international with the ‘Three Lions’.
Dier’s contract with Bayern ends on June 30 and the two parties still negotiates a possible renewal to play the Club World Cup, which starts on June 14 in the United States and ends on July 13.
According to the French newspaper L’Equipe and the German press, Eric Dier would have reached an agreement to join the Monaco until the Boreal summer of 2027.
