Schwarzenegger asks to “stop whining” by Trump and move the ass by the environment

Vienna, Jun 3 (EFE) .- The American actor, politician, politician and activist of Austrian origin Arnold Schwarzenegger has asked people who “stop crying” for the climate denialism of President Donald Trump and has encouraged to “raise their ass and work” to protect the environment.

“You cannot sit down and invent excuses because a guy in a very beautiful White House (…) does not agree with you,” said former California governor in his speech at the Austrian World Summit (AWS), the environmental conference he drives in Vienna.

On the other hand, the Hollywood star encouraged all citizens, local governments and companies to take measures in defense of the climate and to reduce pollution.

Thus, he said that when people ask what they have to fight for a clean environment when Trump says that climate change is a hoax and that coal and oil are the future, he repeats: “Stop crying.”

Schwarzenegger listed numerous examples of national, regional or local companies and governments that, they said, have launched initiatives to reduce pollutant gas emissions.

Among them, he cited Austria, where 98 % of electricity is produced with clean sources, or regions such as British columbia, in Canada; and cities like San Diego, in California; Grenoble, in France; Rybnik, in Poland; or London.

“In those places they did not wait to have permission, they did not put excuses, they did not cry.

He also praised companies such as Amazon, Meta or Microsoft for their emission reduction policies.

“We have the power to do so, each company, each university, every local government,” Schwarzenegger encouraged.

In that line, he said that the “heroes” for the weather “do not send complaints” but “rise and give cane because they know that the work must be done.”

The republican expolatic said that throughout history there are examples that “sometimes problems have to be solved by people.”

Schwarzenegger, 77, is co -founder and host of the AWS, an event that brings together politicians and scientists annually in Vienna from more than 80 countries to seek solutions that mitigate the warming of the earth.

For his part, the Austrian president, the environmentalist Alexander Van der Bellen, insisted on the need to find global solutions for climate change, and gave as an example the international cooperation to stop the growth of the hole in the ozone layer.

Tony Blair, former Prime Minister of the United Kingdom, also participated in this year.
