Public transportation on Thanksgiving in Miami-Dade: special hours for the holiday

MIAMI.- Next Thursday, November 23, in commemoration of the Day of ThanksgivingMetrobus, Metrorail and Metromover will operate on Sunday hours, according to the statement from the Department of Transport and Public Works Miami-Dade (DTPW).

For its part, on Friday, November 24, the county’s public transportation will provide regular weekday service, the report maintains.

DTPW clarifies that Special Transportation Services (STS) for people with mobility difficulties will not be affected during the holiday and will operate with regular service. STS customers can call the STS reservations number (305-871-1111) to book or cancel an STS trip.

Miami-Dade County offices will be closed Thursday and Friday, including all DTPW administrative offices, Customer Service offices, the Golden Passport office at the Stephen P. Clark Center, the Contact Center and Lost and Found .

However, public transport users can access online services to buy or recharge an EASY card or use contactless payments at stations, which accept Visa, Mastercard and American Express bank cards, as well as digital wallets such as Apple Pay, Google Pay, Samsung Pay and Fitbit Pay.

Until when will transportation be free in Miami-Dade?
