Producer Dave Shapiro and musician Daniel Williams in a plane accident in San Diego

LOS ANGELES.-The famous American producer Dave Shapiro and Daniel Williams, former Bateria of The Devil Wears Prada, are among those killed in the accident of a plane in which six people were traveling yesterday in San Diego (California), according to local media.

The authorities still investigate the causes that caused him and the number of fatalities, although several local media talk that there have been no survivors among the six occupants of the plane.

The device was piloted by Shapiro, a popular musical agent, flight instructor and owner of the contracting agency Sound Talent Group and the Velocity Records label.

Two of the workers of this company also traveled in the aircraft.

Before taking off, Williams even published several photos on Instagram uploading to the plane with Shapiro and sitting in the cabin.

Metalcore’s group The Devil Wears Prada confirmed Williams’s death on his Instagram page, sharing several photos of Williams and Shapiro together and the message “Without words. We owe everything. We will love you forever.”

Shapiro’s Cessna 550 plane crashed 3 kilometers south of the Montgomery-Gibbs executive airport in San Diego, according to a statement from the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA for its acronym in English.

The flight data shows that the aircraft took off from the Teterboro Airport, near New York City, Wednesday night and stopped briefly to refuel in Wichita, Kansas, before continuing towards San Diego.

The accident also caused the evacuation of approximately a hundred residents after causing a huge fire in the area that caused injuries to eight people.

“At least two dead, eight injured and approximately ten damaged buildings were confirmed,” said the San Diego Police Department in X in a message shortly after the accident occurs.

“The damage is significant. They were of great danger to life, and thank God, no one on land died,” the representative of the 7th district of the San Diego Raúl Campillo City Council said in a press conference.

Shapiro was a founding member of the National Organization of Independent Talent (Nito) whose members have issued a statement expressing their condolences.

“We are deeply saddened by the death of Dave Shapiro and his two colleagues. Dave was a visionary in the music industry and founding partner of Sound Talent Group,” says the note.
