MIAMI.- The return of Prince Harry and Meghan Marklealong with his children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibeth, to the United Kingdom continues to not go unnoticed.
After the king Charles III would issue a release in which he clarified that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex are not currently active members of the royal family, which is why they should not be given the distinction of being called ‘your royal highness’; It now transpires that the letter took Harry and Meghan by surprise.

According to a spokesperson for the couple, the dukes were not aware that said letter would be sent to the media, and that they were notified of it just an hour before its distribution.

It emerged on Monday, September 7, that King Charles III had issued the statement due to requests from those around him to clarify whether Harry and Meghan’s return to the United Kingdom was linked to the royal family.
The letter was issued by the Lord Chamberlain, Lord Benyon, by order of the king.
“It is well known that in January 2020 the dukes renounced their representative functions on behalf of the Sovereign and are no longer active members of the Royal Family. This position, distinct from the state and royal functions carried out by the active Royal Family, and with the personal freedom it offers them in terms of financial independence and protection of their privacy, as they wish, will continue to be fully respected,” reads the letter.
