People singer logins against use of "Top Gun"song by Trump

Donald Trump responded to the mass protests against him with an artificially created video. Mud is thrown at demonstrators to the music of the hit film “Top Gun”. Now the singer speaks out.

“Danger Zone” singer Kenny Loggins has defended himself against US President Donald Trump’s use of his hit song. “Nobody asked me for my permission – which I would have refused – and I demand that my recording from this video be removed immediately,” several media outlets quoted the 77-year-old as saying.

“I can’t imagine why anyone would want their music used or associated with something that was designed solely to divide us,” Loggins continued.

Trump posted several artificially generated videos in response to the mass protests against him over the weekend. In one of them he is depicted as a pilot who uses a fighter jet to drop brown mud that resembles feces on demonstrators. The song “Danger Zone” is also playing, which Loggins sang for the hit film “Top Gun” (1986), in which Tom Cruise (63) played a fighter jet pilot.

Musicians always complain

On Saturday, millions across the United States took to the streets across the country under the slogan “No Kings.” According to US media, the protests were largely peaceful. A number of participants were colorfully dressed and had their children and dogs with them. There were only occasional arguments on the sidelines.

Musicians had repeatedly complained that Trump was using their songs for campaign appearances. The Rolling Stones, Elton John, Ozzy Osbourne, Adele and the family of singer Tom Petty, who died in 2017, criticized the US President for this. Canadian rock star Neil Young filed a copyright infringement lawsuit.
