Patience is running out! Mets fire Venezuelan Carlos Mendoza

NEW YORK.- The Venezuelan manager Carlos Mendoza He was fired this Friday by the New York Mets after the horrible first half of the season that they have had in the Major Leagues baseball

Mendoza, 46, had been in charge of the Queens team since the start of the 2024 season.

“Carlos has led the organization with passion and elegance, and is very loved by everyone who works with him daily,” said the franchise’s sports president, David Stearnsin recognition of Mendoza’s work.

“Carlos’ impact on our players, staff and culture over the past three seasons has been transformative. Unfortunately, we know we are falling short and that change is necessary to move forward,” he said.

Mendoza had a great start to the project with the Mets, unexpectedly reaching the Championship Series of the National League in 2024 and being a finalist for the award Manager of the Year in the Old Circuit.
