Despite the plague of injuries he suffers, the Newcastle was able to overcome a two-goal deficit and win 4-3 against the West Ham in a match of the 30th day of the Premier League.
The resilience of the 'Magpies' was symbolized by the reappearance of Harvey Barnes, recently recovered from an injury, author of the last two goals that marked the local comeback (minutes 83 and 90).
Barnes had only been playing for a few minutes after replacing Paraguayan Miguel Almirón (67), who barely lasted 10 minutes on the court before leaving due to injury.
The Paraguayan international had in turn replaced Tino Livramento, also injured. In the first half, Newcastle had already lost its captain Jamaal Lascelles (17) due to physical problems.
Newcastle began dominating the scoreboard with the initial goal from Swede Alexander Isak (6), but the 'Hammers' came back with goals from Michail Antonio (21), Mohammed Kudus (45+10) and Jarrod Bowen (48).
Isak put Newcastle on the path to a comeback by scoring his team's second from the penalty spot (78).
With this victory, Newcastle is eighth and is one point behind West Ham (7th with 44 points) in the fight for the European places.
