Musk: "Fate of Western Civilization" depends on Trump’s return to the US presidency

At a campaign rally in support of Donald Trump, high-tech billionaire Elon Musk warned that the “fate of Western civilization” depends on the Republican US presidential candidate’s return to office. “I can’t emphasize enough that I think Pennsylvania is the linchpin of this election,” Musk said Thursday in Folsom, Pennsylvania, at one of several planned public events by the Tesla and SpaceX chief.

In his opinion, “this election will decide the fate of America, and along with the fate of America, the fate of Western civilization,” Musk continued.

Musk, who is considered the richest man in the world, declared his support for the ex-president in July. Since then, there have been joint campaign appearances and Trump’s announcement that he would provide Musk with a position in the government if he wins the election. Musk has supported Trump’s election campaign with almost $75 million (68.8 million euros) in recent months.

In the presidential election on November 5th, former President Trump and Democratic Vice President Kamala Harris will compete against each other. The polls predict an extremely close outcome of the election, which is seen as a landmark for the future of US democracy and the world power’s future foreign policy.
