Since its debut in 2022, the Miami Grand Prix It has become one of the most anticipated appointments of the calendar of Formula 1.
Not only because of the track action, but for the show that surrounds it: concerts, yachts in “imaginary water”, an artificial beach and a luxury atmosphere that is lived in the street circuit around the Hard Rock Stadium.
Three editions, two winners
In its first three editions, the Miami layout has had only two winners:
2022: Max Verstappen (Red Bull) won in the opening race after overcoming the Ferrari de Sainz and Leclerc.
2023: The Dutch repeated the feat from the ninth position, demonstrating once again his supremacy with Red Bull.
2024: Lando Norris (McLaren) broke the hegemony of Verstappen and celebrated his first victory in the F1, with Max and Leclerc completing the podium.
Can Oscar Pastri win in Miami 2025?
With a McLaren in constant evolution and a talent that does not stop growing, Oscar Piastri is emerging as a serious contender to add his name to the select group of winners in Miami. The young Australian has already proven to have a rhythm to compete at the highest level, and with a competitive car like MCL38, the probabilities are in his favor.
Piastri has been solid in classification and increasingly consistent in the race. If McLaren maintains its form and achieves a good strategy, the Miami 2025 Grand Prix could see its third different winner in four years.
The Miami Grand Prix has already won its place in the recent history of F1. With only two winners so far, the 2025 edition promises strong emotions. Is Oscar Piastri the next to climb to the top of the podium?
