Bailey became a reference within the Venezuelan circuit thanks to her role as a strategist of the Tigers of Araguateam with which he built an authentic dynasty and marked an unforgettable time in Creole baseball.
Six titles and a dynasty in the LVBP with Tigres de Aragua
Bailey debuted as a manager of the Tigers of Aragua in the 2002-2003 season. Since then, he led a golden generation of players that included names such as Miguel CabreraAlex Delgado, Alex Romero and Héctor Giménez.
Nine finals and six championships
The American strategist guided the team to nine finals, six of them consecutive, getting six LVBP championships and consolidating the tigers as the most dominant franchise of their time.
In the 2006-2007 campaign he was recognized as a manager of the year, after achieving a historical record of 41 victories and 21 losses. In addition, he led to the Tigres to the 2009 Caribbean Series, where he was also awarded as the best manager of the tournament.
Beyond the tigers: other teams and legacy
Bailey also directed the Sharks of La Guaira and continued at the head of the Tigers until last season, when her departure was announced in December. His last designation was as a manager of the Senators of Caracas in the Major League of Venezuela, where he was scheduled to direct in the 2026 campaign.
