Joao Félix responds in spades and Barcelona defeats Atlético de Madrid

Days before the clash between the FC Barcelona and the Atlético de Madrid was being overshadowed by the attacks between Joao Félix and his former teammates, but the Portuguese responded with football to sentence the verdict.

It was assumed that the duel between both clubs would be so even that a tie could have been a credible result, but Félix took advantage of getting rid of his former club’s thorn and in the 28th minute scored the only goal of the game.

The Portuguese took advantage of Raphinha’s assistance to beat Jon Oblak’s exit with a good diving shot. After, It even came close to making it 2-0, but his double was thwarted by the Slovenian.

When the second half began, Barcelona tried to increase the difference, but they also received a lot of damage with fouls from the Colchoneros players. Joao Félix himself received a strong tackle that almost left him out of the match. He was sore for a few minutes, but continued with the striking game.

The brave French footballer Antoine Griezmann tried on several occasions to score the tie for the visitors, although the options were closed by the culé defense. Even Frankie De Jong himself stopped a shot by the former Barcelona player.

Another possible Atleti attack was close to doing much more damage. The Frenchman shot, the ball apparently hitting the hand of Dutch midfielder De Jong, but the main referee decided that there was no such infringement.

Barcelona moves a little away from Atlético de Madrid and also manages to get closer to the top that Real Madrid shares with Girona.
