International tourism fair begins in Miami Beach

South Florida hosts the WTE Miami International Tourism Show at the Miami Beach Convention Center on October 27-28, with a wide range of exhibitors including travel operators and agents, airlines, hotels, resorts and marketing organizations.

“WTE has demonstrated the need for an event of this format by offering a neutral platform. This year’s goal was to expand the content and bring greater value to the industry, something that WTE has achieved through the number of exhibitors and conference sessions,” said Simon Press, director of the show.

With a strong Hispanic representation, tourist destinations stand out in Spain, Mexico, Colombia, Honduras, Ecuador, Panama, Dominican Republic, Peru, Chile and Guatemala, among others.

Among the representations of Spain, Aragon stands out with a tourism proposal that “combines heritage, nature, gastronomy and spirituality.”

“We want to show that Aragon is much more than a destination to be discovered: it is a territory that invites you to live authentic experiences, to connect with its history, to enjoy its flavors and to discover the diversity of its landscapes and its people,” highlights the community’s tourism promotion proposal,” commented José Luis Galar, managing director of Tourism of Aragón.

Indeed, cultural heritage and nature are consolidated as the main drivers of Aragon’s tourism offer.

In fact, Zaragoza champions this proposal through iconic monuments and a city that has a wide gastronomic and cultural offer.

Likewise, the attractiveness of the Aragonese territory extends to its three provinces—Zaragoza, Huesca and Teruel—which are home to an exceptional heritage.

“Nature is another of Aragón’s great arguments. From the peaks of the Pyrenees and the Ordesa y Monte Perdido National Park to the canyons, forests, mountain lakes and unique landscapes of Teruel, the community offers hiking experiences, active tourism, adventure and wildlife observation, as well as proposals for disconnection and contact with the environment,” stated the managing director.

In addition, tourist representations from the United States, Canada, Romania, Brazil, Egypt, South Africa, Vietnam, Poland, Iceland, Greece, Jordan, Morocco, Italy, Japan, Bhutan, Mongolia, Israel, Kenya and India, as well as other countries, stand out.

Among the airlines represented, Iberia, LOT Polish Airlines, Delta Air Lines, LATAM Airlines, Royal Jordanian, SKY Airline and French Bee stand out.

In addition to countries and tourist destinations, airlines, hotels and other services related to the travel sector, the WTE 2026 fair has the participation of travel agents and companies providing multiple services.

The series of thematic conferences stands out, such as Portrait of American Travelers, by Rose Mary Cortés, from the marketing company MMGY Global.

“It is interesting how travelers discover destinations in new ways, incorporating, for example, artificial intelligence into the process of searching for inspiration and planning their trips. At the same time, they seek to make the most of each vacation, whether exploring several destinations, discovering new experiences or including more activities in a single trip. For destinations, this represents a real opportunity to show the diversity of experiences they offer and inspire travelers to get the most out of their time away from home,” summarized Cortés.

This fair takes place at a time when Miami International Airport (MIA) exceeds the figure of 56 million passengers and aims to expand its routes to Japan and other countries.

MIA Director Ralph Cutié said: “WTE Miami plays a critical role in connecting the global tourism community, offering a platform to educate, inspire, network with key industry players, and promote destinations and services.”
