WASHINGTON.- US authorities arrested an eighth suspect in the investigation into the planned attack on the show mixed martial arts (MMA) organized on June 14 at the White House on the occasion of the president’s 80th birthday Donald Trump.
The 21-year-old man, identified as Chandler D. Scaggs and resident in W.V.was arrested “this week” in that eastern state of USAannounced on Thursday Department of Justice
“He had allegedly been designated to be one of the snipers during the planned attack,” a statement said.
The Department of Justice specifies that the eight men detained so far have been indicted jointly in the same case, instructed in Ohio.
They are accused “of having planned the assassination of the president of the United States, the vice president of the United States, other federal officials, and the Israeli prime minister.” Benjamin Netanyahu“(the tycoon) Elon Musk and ‘other high-level objectives'”.
The Department of Justice had announced on June 16 the arrest and indictment, in the days prior to the event, of five men between the ages of 19 and 32 in several states (California, Nebraska, Missouri).
These arrests prevented the suspects from carrying out their plan, which consisted of launching drones loaded with explosives around the MMA show venue to cause an evacuation and thus allow snipers to shoot down senior officials attending the event, according to the indictment.
Two other men were subsequently arrested at the end of June by the FBI, the federal police, one in the state of Washington and the other in Missouri.

The American president celebrated his 80th birthday on June 14 with the “Freedom 250” card of the UFC, the organization that dominates the world of mixed martial arts.
More than 4,000 guests attended the show on the White House lawn, including Mark Zuckerbergdirector of Goal, and David Ellisondirector of paramount and Trump ally, whose network owned the exclusive broadcast rights.
