Donald Trump Did he publish a private message to Musk?

Donald Trump is currently causing confusion with a post: A private message to Elon Musk accidentally ended up on Truth Social.

Former and future US President Donald Trump (78) apparently unintentionally posted a probably private message to tech billionaire Elon Musk (53) publicly on his social media platform Truth Social on Friday. The message contained an invitation to Mar-a-Lago and information about a possible meeting with Microsoft founder Bill Gates (69) and is still publicly viewable.

“Where are you? When are you coming to the ‘Center of the Universe’, Mar-a-Lago. Bill Gates asked if he could come tonight. We miss you and X! New Year’s Eve is going to be AMAZING!!!” wrote Trump in the post, which was obviously intended as a private message. Apparently Trump and Musk are celebrating New Year’s Eve together.

Meeting with Bill Gates confirmed

The mention of “X” in the message apparently refers to Musk’s son X Æ A-Xii (4), whom the Tesla boss colloquially refers to as “X”. A person familiar with the matter confirmed to CNN that Gates had indeed asked for a meeting with Trump. Whether this will come about is still unclear.

The incident comes at an interesting time: Musk, whom Trump named as the next co-head of his Government Efficiency Initiative, is currently under fire from some Trump supporters. The reason for this is his support for a visa program that should make it much easier for highly qualified foreign workers to immigrate to the USA.

Celebrity guests at Mar-a-Lago

Since his election victory in November, several high-profile tech CEOs and business leaders have visited Trump at his Florida estate, Mar-a-Lago. As CNN has learned from insiders, the executives have a clear strategy at these meetings: They raise issues that Trump wants to receive positively – such as bringing manufacturing and jobs back to the US – while at the same time trying to raise their concerns about his future policies .

Trump and Gates had already met in 2016 when the then-elected US President was preparing for his first term in office.
