Catholic Church Trump congratulates new Pope: great honor for the USA

Robert Francis Prevost is the 267th Pontifex. The 69 -year -old Archbishop from Chicago chose the Papal name Leo XIV. The US President is pleased with the choice.

US President Donald Trump congratulated the American Robert Prevost on election as Pope. “It is such an honor to realize that he is the first American Pope,” Trump wrote on his online language tube Truth Social. It is a “great honor” for the USA, Trump continues. He is happy to meet Pope Leo XIV. “It will be a very important moment!”
