Building for US President Trump at Club World Cup final

US President Donald Trump was booed at the final of the Football Club World Cup near New York on Sunday. When Trump gave the trophy and medals together with FIFA President Gianni Infantino after the victory of FC Chelsea against Paris Saint-Germain, he was broke and whistled by many spectators in the Metlife Stadium in East Rutherford in New Jersey.

The first boos could already be heard when Trump took a seat in his lodge before the game and was shown on the stadium screens during the national anthem. When Trump then entered the field together with Infantino for the award ceremony, the boos and whistles were very loudly heard of some of the more than 81,000 spectators – until the music was turned up in the stadium.

However, Trump did not show anything: he shook his hands on the players, hung up medals and posed in a good mood for the photographers.

The final of the World Cup will also take place in East Rutherford next year, which will be held in Canada, Mexico and the USA from June 11 to July 19, 2026.
