A 66 -year -old German woman gave birth on March 19 to her tenth son.
Alexandra Hildebrandt told the program Today that did not use fertility medications and had no difficulty conceiving.
The baby, called Philipp, was born by caesarean section at the Charité in Berlin hospital, the German capital. Hildebrandt said that he weighed 7 pounds and 13 ounces, and that he is “healthy.”
Philipp is the youngest of his brothers: Svitlana, 46; Artiom, 36; Elisabeth and Maximilian, 12; Alexandra, 10; Leopold, 8; Anna, 7; Maria, 4; Katharina, 2.
“A large family is not only something fantastic but, above all, important to raise children well,” said Hildebrant, who works as director of a museum.

Hildebrandt told the German newspaper Bild that he does not smoke or baby, and has never used contraceptives. “I have a very healthy way, swim regularly for an hour and two others,” he added.

It is also dangerous for the person who has the baby, according to Levine, who said that the risks include high hypertension rates, gestational diabetes and premature delivery.
In addition, the risk of chromosomal anomalies, such as Down syndrome, increases significantly with the mother’s age.
Levine, who is not a Hildebrandt doctor, said that it is possible that the German woman has not reached menopause if she suffers from polycystic ovary syndrome (SOP), a hormonal disorder that affects the ovaries.
