The former Cuban boxer Frank Zaldivar is involved in a new controversy, after he was seen in recent days in several street confrontations in the area of Hialeah, Floridaaccording to some videos that have been spread on social networks.
These videos come just a few months after Zaldívar was arrested in Miami for an alleged attempted murder. The Antillean was later released without pending charges.
In the images released you can see the former boxer arguing with a man in the middle of a public street. During the altercation, another individual interferes and punches Zaldívar in the face, who continued to confront the men while other people did their best to stop the fight.
The fight ended when a fourth person got involved and managed to calm the former athlete. After shaking his hand, Zaldívar left the scene without any injuries or police intervention being reported.
Previous judicial process
This new incident took place after Zaldívar faced legal proceedings in April, when he was accused and arrested for an alleged case of attempted murder following a violent stabbing in the city of Miami.
As expected, the arrest shook the Cuban community in Florida due to his past as an athlete. In any case, in May it was reported that Zaldívar had been released and that the process would have no legal consequences for him.
Shortly after, the same former boxer announced that he was free and that the situation had been resolved.
The “Boxeocubano” profile was one of those that shared the recent videos of the altercations in which Zaldívar was involved and questioned the current status of the former boxer.
“Frank Zaldívar continues to do his thing in his corner of Hialeah. In his favor I have to admit that all his fights are against heavier opponents than him,” the profile wrote.
The Cuban had his last fight in February 2025, when he was defeated by technical knockout in the third round against Curmel Moton. Before that, he had also lost his previous fight by unanimous decision against Yosdiel Naples in August 2024.
