Cristiano Ronaldo wins his first Saudi Pro League with Al-Nassr

Portuguese star Cristiano Ronaldo finally lifted his first Saudi Pro League title on Thursday, leading Al-Nassr FC’s 4-1 victory over Damac FC with a decisive brace.

At 41 years old, Ronaldo once again showed that he continues to make a difference. The striker scored first with a spectacular free kick from a very tight angle, after the initial goals from Sadio Mane and Kingsley Coman. Later, he sealed his double in the 81st minute with a powerful shot inside the area.

The title represents a historic moment for Ronaldo since his arrival in Saudi football at the end of 2022. Although he had already won individual trophies and quickly became the great media figure of the league, until now he had not been able to win the local championship.

Under the technical direction of the Portuguese Jorge Jesus, who replaced the Italian Stefano Pioli last summer, Al-Nassr had a dominant season. The Riyadh team finished as the highest scoring team in the tournament with 91 goals and surpassed its main rival, Al-Hilal SFC, by five points.

Ronaldo also continues to add to his impressive scoring legacy. Since his arrival in Saudi Arabia, he has already surpassed 100 goals with Al-Nassr in just three and a half seasons.

Furthermore, the Portuguese is now preparing for another historic challenge: playing with the Portugal national football team in his sixth World Cup, an unprecedented mark in the history of football. According to Forbes, Ronaldo was once again the highest-paid athlete in the world in 2025, with earnings estimated at $275 million.
