Vinicius asks Real Madrid players to help victims of floods in Valencia

MADRID.- The Brazilian forward real Madrid, Vinicius Jr.has invited his teammates to donate on a personal basis to help those affected by the catastrophe in the Valencian Community, according to Spanish media reports on Tuesday night.

The serious floods of last week have already left more than 200 dead in the southeast of Spain and football has also joined the numerous gestures of solidarity with those affected.

After the club announced a donation of one million euros last Thursday, Cadena SER reported on Tuesday that now it has been the players who have wanted to contribute their bit, although the sum raised is unknown.

“Prompted by a proposal from Vinicius, all Madrid players agreed to make donations on an individual basis to help as much as possible,” the radio station said.

This medium also indicated that the players did not intend to make this donation public because they understand that “in these cases, the important thing is what is done and not what is said to have been done.”

The news came after Tuesday’s tough 3-1 defeat against Milan at the Santiago Bernabéu, corresponding to matchday four of the Champions League.

Tchouameni would be out for a month

Real Madrid’s French midfielder, Aurélien Tchouameni, will be out for a month due to a sprained ankle, the white club announced this Wednesday in a statement.

Tchouameni will likely miss La Liga matches against Osasuna, Leganés, Getafe and Athletic Bilbao, as well as the team’s visit to Liverpool in the Champions League on November 27.

This mishap could also leave him out of the call for the French team to play in the Nations League against Israel and Italy on November 14 and 17, respectively.

“After the tests carried out today (Wednesday) on our player Aurélien Tchouameni by the Real Madrid Medical Services, he has been diagnosed with a sprained left ankle. Evolution is pending,” the note stated.

Tchouameni was injured on Tuesday in his team’s 3-1 loss to AC Milan at the Santiago Bernabéu on matchday four of the Champions League. The footballer had to be changed at half-time.
