PARIS.- The French pilot Isaac Hadjarinjured in a wrist, was declared out for the Italian Grand Prix of Formula 1which is held from Friday to Sunday in monzahis team announced this Wednesday Red Bull.
It is Hadjar’s second absence in a row, after missing the Dutch Grand Prix from August 21 to 23.
“Liam (Lawson) will be with Max (Verstappen) at the Italian Grand Prix at Monza, while Isack continues to make encouraging progress after the wrist injury he suffered in the summer break,” wrote the Red Bull team.
“The team is closely monitoring his re-education and will not take any unnecessary risks regarding his return to competition, hoping that he can return as soon as possible,” Red Bull said.
Hadjar, eighth in the World of this year’s drivers with 68 points, was injured in a training session, without his team specifying the nature of his physical problem, or giving an estimated time out.
New Zealander Lawson, 24 years old and pilot of the sister team Racing Bulls Normally, he was his replacement in the Netherlands, where he finished seventh after a weekend in which he performed at a very good level.
Hadjar’s departure indirectly benefits Yuki Tsunodawho will, in turn, occupy the wheel that Lawson leaves free at Racing Bulls for Monza. The Japanese driver finished eleventh in the Dutch Grand Prix.
