Venezuelan Olympic cyclist dies in Las Vegas

The Venezuelan Cycling Federation confirmed this Friday the death of the Olympic cyclist Daniela Larreal At 50 years of age, who competed in five Olympics representing the country.

On the night of Thursday, August 15, the death of the Zulian cyclist was announced, inside a house in Las Vegas, United States.

According to journalist Ibrahim López, the cyclist died on Sunday due to unknown causes, but the case was confirmed on the night of 15-A.

The Venezuelan Cycling Federation, headed by Eliezer Rojas, was in charge of confirming the unfortunate death of the Maracaibo native on the morning of Friday, August 16. Likewise, the Venezuelan Olympic Committee (COV) also made official the departure of one of the great glories of local cycling.

Daniela Larreal leaves an indelible mark on the sport of Venezuelawhere she defended the tricolor colors in five Olympic Games. In addition to that, she was Pan American champion and won important victories that established her as one of the best athletes in the country.
