The Honorable Donald Trump, President of the United States. Dear Mr. President, by greeting him cordially, we wrote to him on behalf of Venamérica, Venezuelans and Americans, Corp., a non -profit American corporation, registered in the state of Florida, to congratulate him for his triumph and recent inauguration as president as president of the USA. A historical moment that marks the beginning of a new chapter full of challenges and opportunities for all lovers of freedom, democracy and peace.
We have paid special attention to advertisements related to the priorities of their administration in promoting the national interests of the United States, based on the premises of making it stronger, safer, more prosperous and peaceful, without giving up the values that They are own. Depending on these statements, allow us, with due respect, to make some considerations based on the design of an agenda for Venezuela:
Support for the restoration of the constitutional order in Venezuela.
On January 10, just a few days after his inauguration as president of the United States, there was an assault against the Venezuelan Constitution and a violation of the foundational principles of the Nation, when Nicolás Maduro was proclaimed president of Venezuela usurping the position that corresponds by law to Edmundo González Urrutia, who was chosen by popular vote on July 28. For Venezuelans, the support of their government and the democratic governments of the world is essential, to restore the constitutional order in Venezuela and end the usurpation of Maduro.
Mass migration as a result of the destruction of Venezuela and the need to separate criminals from migrant mass.
More than eight million Venezuelans have fled due to an oppressive regime, including more than 600,000 that have legal residence in the US. These legal migrants seek stability and opportunities to contribute to their new community and host land. Venezuelans share a group, cultural and citizen identity, and its migration, the largest in the western world, represents one of the deepest and most destructive wounds for our nation, whose background root is the action of the first regimes of Chávez and after Ripe. While it is true that some malefactors have entered illegally, including those associated with an infamous and criminal organization such as the Aragua train, most Venezuelan migrants are workers, scholars, religious, family and with a high educational level that we have demonstrated with our Resilience, talent, adaptation capacity and valuable contributions to the progress of American society in various professional spheres.
We want to insist that the protection of Venezuelans who are legally in the United States is extended, and transmit our conviction that if we give a change in the political situation of Venezuela we are sure that most of those who have currently arrived irregularly This country, and those who are on their way, would be willing to return to their country.
Assets protection
Venezuela needs the protection of its assets, especially oil assets, of the destruction of the economy that the Maduro usurper regime goes ahead. This is necessary to be able to schedule the return to a healthy administration and the recovery of the country when the current dictatorship changes, which is in the best interest of the United States. Citgo was protected by key economic sanctions issued during his first administration, essential to preserve strategic resources. Executive Order 13808 that protected Citgo and made it virtually unattachable in the United States during its first term, signed on August 24, 2017, restricted certain financial transactions with the Venezuelan government and banned any new debt operation issued by PDVSA Lo Lo Lo Lo Lo Lo Lo Lo which prevented, at the time, that the creditors could execute embargoes against Citgo. However, this protection was weakened by the granting of DAC licenses that admitted embargoes, a situation that led to the current demands in Delaware and New York exceed 25 billion dollars, which is impossible to attend and constitutes a risk to be lost for Venezuelans irreversibly. At this time we need this protection to be extended to contribute to the recovery of the country by changing the current regime and contributing to the democratic stabilization of the continent, when Venezuela can return to its status as a reliable producer of crude oil within a renegotiation scheme of external debt and with the participation of national and international private capital.
Hemispheric and geopolitical risks
Venezuela faces a serious situation of invasion of foreign governments and groups connected to drug trafficking and guerrillas that have formed a criminal network, whose defeat exceeds the possibilities of Venezuelans and that demands a firm international action to restore democracy. The Historical Alliance of Venezuela and its people with the United States and its people, is at risk and this constitutes a threat to the peace and security of the hemisphere. Stability and return to democracy in Venezuela is the best guarantee for the stability and peace of the entire continent, even of the United States, hence its determined support will be key to achieving a political transition that is entitled to our country.
Human Rights Crisis
Various reports of organizations such as the Mission of Determination of the AUs of the UN, the Criminal Forum and the ACNUDH document a systematic pattern of violations that include arbitrary arrests, judgments without guarantees, torture and criminalization of the dissent. This must be subject to the urgent attention of the international community where the US plays a decisive role in the preservation of freedom.
Mr. President, we trust that his vision and leadership will guide this great nation towards a brilliant and prosperous future. We wish you all the success in the implementation of its policies and in the achievement of its objectives, for the well -being of all citizens who want a united, large and prosperous America.
