“You are family, but that doesn’t mean that I will accept the fact that you let my comrades die.” The hard criticism of the Ukraine veteran Nate Vance on his cousin JD, the Vice President of the United States, of which Ukraine policy made headlines worldwide, including the star reported.
Donald Trump’s number two had initially owed an answer. On Tuesday, the younger, much more powerful Vance finally reacted to the reprimand of his cousin.
Nate Vance moved to war for Ukraine
Nat had voluntarily registered for the fight against the Russians shortly after the war, two and a half years ago, and reports reportedly in some of the bloodiest battles of war to date. He expected “a certain degree of decency, especially in front of cameras,” he gave up from political leaders, and basically assumed political short-sightedness to the US vice.
Shortly after Nate Vance went public, his comrades, the volunteer battalion “Da Vinci Wolves”, posted photos of his time in Ukraine on social media. There are two vances, the caption says. One who defends Ukraine and one who reveals it:
JD Vance: “I have no interest in arguing with him”
In a statement compared to the US broadcaster “Fox News”, US Vice JD Vance now reacted. On the one hand, he never spoke publicly about his cousin Nate because “he did not want to endanger his life even more than it already was”. As for his criticism, he has no interest in arguing with Nate in public.
However, he is surprised that his cousin from Ukraine only left news to his office. “I am not sure why Nate felt the need to contact my Senate office instead of his mother, father or sister, with whom I am regularly in contact with,” said Vance. Nate’s father James is the brother of JD’s mother Beverly.
Nevertheless, the country’s second most powerful man became somewhat conciliatory. He always thought of Nate “for the hardest guy” he knew and always liked to speak to him.
