US President Trump and Kremlin chief Putin want to talk about Ukraine

In the middle of the efforts to take a ceasefire in Ukraine, US President Donald Trump and Kremlin chief Vladimir Putin want to make calls together on Tuesday. According to Trump, the conversation should be about a termination of the war in Ukraine. There had been movement in the efforts of a ceasefire after Ukraine had agreed to a US proposal for a 30-day break when talking to the USA in Saudi Arabia in the past few weeks.

The United States then resumed its military aid for Ukraine. Putin initially reacted reservedly to the proposal and provided conditions. The Ukrainian President Wolodymyr Selenskyj accuses Putin not to really want to end the war and play for time.
