In the affair about the convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein, the US Justice Ministry wants to have his partner Ghislaine Maxwell asked. At the instructions of Justice Minister Pam Bondi, he contacted Maxwell’s legal assistance, wrote the deputy attorney general, Todd Blanche, on the platform X. “I intend to meet with her soon.”
In a post of the minister under pressure in the Epstein affair, there was talk of an encounter “in the coming days”. So far, no authority has inquired about this on behalf of the ministry, it said.
Maxwell, the long-standing confidante of the US multimillionaire Epstein, was sentenced to 20 years in prison in the summer of 2022. She had played a central role in building a ring for the sexual abuse of girls. Since then she has been in prison. Epstein, who had systematically abused minors for many years, committed suicide in 2019 at the age of 66 in his prison cell.
Donald Trump under pressure because of Epstein files
In parts of the US company, his death caused wild speculation because he had the best contacts in the American high society. Prominent and billionaires went in and out of him-US President Donald Trump also spent time with Epstein, as several party videos show.
Trump had promised to open the Epstein files in the election campaign. Because he has not been doing this so far, the pressure on Bondi and him – also from his own warehouse grew. Most recently, the “Wall Street Journal” (WSJ) reported on an alleged congratulatory letter to Epstein on its 50th birthday in 2003, which is supposed to bear the name Trump.
