US election campaign: Harris says she thinks her rival Trump is a fascist

Democratic US presidential candidate Kamala Harris says she believes her Republican rival Donald Trump is a fascist. When asked by CNN host Anderson Cooper whether she thought the former US president was a fascist, Harris replied on Wednesday: “Yes, I do. And I also believe that the people who support him should be trusted know best in this matter.”

An interview with Trump’s former chief of staff had previously caused a sensation in the USA: The Republican was a politician who “meets the general definition of fascists,” Trump’s former chief of staff John Kelly told the New York Times. Kelly also confirmed earlier reports that Trump had made positive comments about Adolf Hitler on several occasions.

Numerous former government employees from Trump’s term in office “explicitly said that he despises the Constitution of the United States,” said the incumbent US Vice President in the question and answer session with voters on the TV channel CNN. “They said he should never serve as president of the United States again.”
