Trump’s Ukrainian officer welcomes Kellogg from the Leyen

EU Commission President Ursula von der Leyen will receive the US special officer for Ukraine and Russia, Keith Kellogg on Tuesday morning in Brussels. The meeting is about a vote on the Ukraine plans of US President Donald Trump and the consequences for Europe. Trump had announced immediate negotiations on Ukraine last week after a phone call to Russia’s head of state Vladimir Putin. The Europeans are calling for participation in the talks.

On Monday, Kellogg in Brussels had already met with the NATO countries’ ambassadors. Alliance Secretary General Mark Rutte then wrote in online service X that it was about working for a “fair and permanent peace in Ukraine”.
