Republican US presidential candidate Donald Trump has once again attacked singer Taylor Swift. “I hate Taylor Swift,” the former president wrote on his online platform Truth Social on Sunday. He did not add any further details to his message, which was written in capital letters.
Swift announced shortly after the TV debate on Tuesday between Trump and his rival Kamala Harris that she would vote for the Democratic candidate in the election on November 5. Trump reacted angrily and said that the 34-year-old singer would “probably pay a price” for her statement in the music market.
Swift has hundreds of millions of followers on online networks, and her Instagram post after the TV debate was liked by more than ten million fans. “Going after Taylor Swift is a really bad campaign strategy,” wrote one user on Sunday on the online service X. At the MTV Video Music Awards on Wednesday, Swift reiterated her call to register to vote in the presidential election.
