US President Joe Biden was not fit to run for president, according to his Republican challenger Donald Trump. “The corrupt Joe Biden was not fit to run for president and is certainly not fit to serve – and never was!” Trump wrote on his online platform Truth Social on Sunday. Trump also stated that he wanted to quickly repair the “damage” caused by Biden’s presidency.
Shortly before, incumbent Biden had announced that he would withdraw from the race for the White House and would not run for a second term. Instead, the 81-year-old spoke out in favor of his deputy Kamala Harris as the Democratic candidate for the presidential election in November.
Former US President Trump was officially named the US Republican presidential candidate at the party convention last Monday. His vice presidential candidate is Senator JD Vance.
