Trump before US Congress: In 43 days more achieved than most in four or eight years

In his highly awaited speech in front of both chambers of the US Congress, US President Donald Trump praised his own policy in the highest tones. “We have achieved more in 43 days than most governments in four or eight years – and we are just starting,” said Trump at the beginning of his explanations on Monday evening (local time) in Washington. His speech was accompanied by the “USA, USA” cheering calls Republican Congress members.

Trump started his speech with the words: “America is back.” He continued: “The American dream is on the rise – bigger and better than ever. The American dream is unstoppable, and our country is about to see a comeback that the world has never seen before.”

Protest quickly stood out among the democratic MPs and senators. Shortly after the beginning of the speech, the democratic MP Al Green from the state of Texas was excluded from the meeting after he had called several boos against Trump. Trump had to briefly interrupt the speech during the incident.
