Trump at the US Open final in New York

US President Donald Trump was booed when visiting the US Open final in New York. Boos and whistles opened when the Trump sitting in the stadium was shown on large screens during the game between Jannik Sinner and Carlos Alcaraz, at the same time applause could be heard.

Already at Trump’s arrival, he had been greeted with a mixture of applause and whistles, which, however, largely went down by the music played in the stadium. According to the US media reports, the tournaments of the tournament in Flushing Meadows television stations had asked in advance not to show possible protests against the US President in their broadcasts.

The match started with more than half an hour delay because many spectators are hitting Trump’s visit to the tightened security checks on the entrances.
