The new San Lorenzo stadium will be named Pope Francis

San Lorenzo de Almagro confirmed that the new stadium that will build in the Buenos Aires neighborhood of Boedo will be named after the Pope Francisin tribute to the Pontiff and recognized fan of the club.

The emotional decision was announced by the president of the institution, Marcelo Moretti, through a letter published in the sports media of Spain.
