MIAMI.- This Wednesday, South Florida experienced the coldest morning of the week, with minimum temperatures falling into the 50°F (10°C), and some inland and even western areas recorded values in the high range of 40°F (4°C).
The cold will remain until mid-morning, with temperatures remaining below 60°F (15°C). However, as the day progresses, the wind will begin to blow from the northeast, which will provide warmer air and allow a slight rise in thermometers.
High temperatures will be in the low 70s F (21 C), providing ideal weather for outdoor activities. However, during the early morning hours a wind chill near 40°F (4°C) was expected, marking a brief but intense period of cold.
The National Weather Service has issued warnings for swimmers and boaters due to adverse conditions. Additionally, low temperatures could negatively impact plantings in some areas of the state, so farmers are urged to take precautions.
Day by day
On Thursday, a slight moderation of the cold will begin to be felt, with minimums around 60 degrees Fahrenheit and temperatures that will rise progressively during the day.
On Friday, dawn lows will remain in the low 60s, while highs will climb into the 80s, with conditions remaining sunny and pleasant.
On Saturday and Sunday, minimum temperatures are expected to range between 65 degrees and 67 degrees, with maximums that could reach 80 degrees. Although the chances of rain would be minimal, cloudy days are anticipated.
