Several people were injured this Saturday during what authorities say is a situation of shooting active” in a shopping center in downtown Florida.
The Ocala Police Department indicated it was responding to a shooting at the Paddock Shopping Center in Ocalalocated about 128 kilometers northwest of Orlando.
Police later reported on social media that the suspect had fled and that the shopping center was being evacuated.
People were asked not to approach the area.
“There is no longer an active shooting. There are several people injured,” said the Ocala Police Department.
