Roger Federer and Rafael Nadal star in new Louis Vuitton campaign

MIAMI.- Louis Vuitton is pleased to present the second image of its historic campaign Core Valuesstarring Roger Federer and Raphael Nadal.

Captured under the lens of celebrated photographer Annie Leibovitz, tennis’s most revered champions now reach the top of the Italian Dolomites mountain range. Under the motto ‘A legendary journey to the top’, the firm’s proposal shows both athletes on a journey of ambition, determination and discovery.

At 3,000 meters above sea level, far from the familiarity of the track, Nadal and Federer do not appear as competitors, but as companions lying on the top of the mountain, a visual metaphor for reaching the top of their long sporting careers, marked by a deep mutual respect and a great friendship, always overcoming the obstacles that arise.

Career of Federer and Nadal in tennis

Federer brought his record 20 Grand Slam titles and unparalleled elegance to every court he stepped on, while Nadal’s 22 Grand Slams, including 14 French Open victories, were displays of ultimate athleticism and skill. Together, these athletes represent parallel odysseys, from young prodigies to global icons whose impact has inspired countless people of all generations.

“Many important icons have been part of this campaign and being part of it is something that makes me very happy. Sharing it with Roger makes it special, since he has been my biggest rival and now a close friend. In my career, I have achieved more than I ever dreamed of, so at the end of the day, the legacy in human terms is the most important value,” Rafael Nadal said in a statement.

“It is a unique opportunity to work on this campaign with Rafa. To think that we were such rivals and that now, when our careers as tennis players are coming to an end, we are working together on something like this, it has been an incredible journey. To be at the top of The Dolomites is symbolic in many ways. It really captures what this moment means to us: something truly special and meaningful,” added Roger Federer.

In front of the canvas of nature, Leibovitz’s photograph shows the duo sharing a moment of reflection above the clouds; Federer with his classic Monogram Christopher backpack, a symbol of timeless style akin to his own legacy in the sport, and Nadal with his Monogram Eclipse version that represents his dynamic strength and tenacity.

Together, they echo the values that resonate in every Louis Vuitton design and every core values campaign: a journey beyond the physical, a commitment to excellence and a transmission of dreams.

“It’s been 17 years since I launched the first campaign Core Values with Antoine Arnault and I am delighted to revive this iconic series. Each chapter of Core Values celebrates Louis Vuitton’s legacy of travel, working with exceptional people and transmission, both physical and emotional. “It has been brilliant to work with Roger Federer and Rafael Nadal on this new story, both inspiring athletes, trusted friends and testaments to the discipline and excellence of their own personal sporting journeys,” said Pietro Beccari, President and CEO of Louis Vuitton.
