MADRID.- The midfielder of real Madrid, Jude Bellinghamhe will be out of the playing grounds at least a few weeks after being operated on his left shoulder, the Spanish press estimated on Wednesday.
“Our Jude Bellingham player has been successfully intervened successfully of a recurrent dislocation on the left shoulder,” said the merengue club in a statement.
The player “now begins a rehabilitation time prior to his return to recovery work,” the note continued, which does not specify the recovery time, although the media estimate that it would be between twelve and fourteen weeks.
Bellingham has been suffering from the shoulder after dislocating it in a LaLiga game in November 2023. Since then, he has been playing with a header under his shirt.
The English midfielder postponed the operation until after the participation of Madrid in the newly finished Club, tournament in which the Xabi Alonso team fell into the semifinals against Paris Saint-Germain (4-0).
The footballer will probably miss the confrontation against Atlético at the end of September, as well as the first two games of his team in the 2025-2026 Champions League.
Bellingham, 22, should be back to the first classic against Barcelona at the end of October.
“I have reached the point where I am fed up with the head, to have to adjust it and that the (other) players pull it, and to be gathered all the time,” Bellingham said during the Club World Cup.
Why Milan for Modric?
The incombustible Luka Modric, new AC Milan player at 39 years after thirteen seasons at Real Madrid, explained Wednesday that he made the decision because he wanted to “continue in Europe and continue playing a competitive football.”
“I am happy to be here, I am looking forward to starting a new adventure. I wanted to stay in Europe, to continue playing a competitive football. I had other offers, but when Milan said, for me it was already clear from the first moment,” said the 2018 Golden Ball to the television network of his new club.
“Milan is one of the largest clubs in Europe. Milan cannot settle for half a gas, must have the highest possible goals: winning titles, rival the best teams in the world. That’s what I am here,” he added.
