Real Madrid loses Éder Militão due to injury less than two months before the 2026 World Cup

Real Madrid confirmed this Thursday the injury of Éder Militão, who suffers from a muscle ailment in the femoral biceps of his left leg and could be out for several weeks, according to reports in the Spanish press.

The Brazilian center back was injured during the Merengue victory against Alavés in LaLiga and sets off the alarm again in the final stretch of the season. Concern increases because there are less than two months until the start of the 2026 World Cup in the United States, Canada and Mexico.

This is Militão’s third muscle injury in the campaign. In November he had already suffered discomfort that kept him out of two games, while in December he suffered a tear in his left femoral biceps with damage to a tendon, an injury that kept him out of competition for four months.

The defender had returned just a month ago and is now going through the infirmary again, which generates uncertainty for both the white club and the Brazil team.

In addition, Real Madrid also reported the injury of Arda Güler, who has muscle discomfort in the femoral biceps of her right leg. The Turkish footballer would also be out for several weeks.

With these absences, the Madrid team loses two important pieces in a decisive stretch of the season and will have to reorganize its squad for the next matches.
