For love, Meghan Markle first moved to Great Britain to live with Prince Harry. When he broke away from his royal family around four years ago, he moved to the USA for Meghan. But there is now a threat of trouble there too: Due to Donald Trump’s election victory, the couple has to fear for their lives in Montecito (California).
The Republican had already made less than favorable comments about Prince Harry’s visa application for the USA at a political conference in February. The Biden administration has been “too merciful” to Harry since the move in 2020.
Legal dispute over Prince Harry’s US visa
Harry has been in a legal battle over his US visa for months. In his memoirs “Spare”, the son of King Charles III. admitted to using cocaine, smoking marijuana and experimenting with magic mushrooms as a teenager.
The right-wing conservative US foundation Heritage Foundation became aware of his case after these revelations and demanded insight into the immigration documents submitted by Harry. The foundation questioned whether immigration authorities had properly approved Harry’s immigration application because of his drug use. According to US law, a visa can be refused if the applicant has taken drugs.
Two years ago, the case was heard in Washington, DC. In September of this year, a judge determined that Harry’s visa application should remain private because “the public does not have a strong interest in disclosing the Duke’s immigration records.”
Nile Gardiner, director of the Heritage Foundation, told Britain’s Daily Mail that he believes the conservative think tank under newly elected President Trump will now “very likely” be able to successfully challenge the decision.
Trump on Harry: “I wouldn’t protect him”
Gardiner is counting on Trump. Because the Republican has no sympathy for the prince. Trump was upset with the Biden administration for maintaining the privacy of Harry’s immigration application to “protect Harry.” He, Trump, would not do this. The prince had betrayed the queen and that was unforgivable.
A few days later, Trump said in a conversation with the English right-wing populist Nigel Farage: “We have to see whether they know anything about the drugs, and if he lied, they have to take appropriate action.” Also interesting, however, is that when Farage asked hopefully whether such measures could include expulsion, Trump evaded the issue in an unusually diplomatic way.
Trump loves the royals
The President-Elect of the United States, the Six years ago, during his state visit to the kingdom, he had little interest in royal protocol always spoke highly of the late monarch Queen Elizabeth II. She was an “incredible woman,” he said in 2018. “My wife (Melania Trump) is a big fan of hers. She has a great and beautiful grace about her .” When Harry left his position in a highly publicized manner four years ago, he and his wife Meghan caused damage to the royal family.
It is well documented that Trump and the couple were never best friends. Meghan has often expressed criticism of the former and future president in the past – for the first time during the 2016 election campaign, when she described Trump as “divisive” and “misogynistic” on a late-night show.
Trump only started attacking Meghan Markle years later. In true Trump style, he first insulted her before a state visit to Great Britain, later called her “very nice” in an interview with Piers Morgan – only to then revise his assessment again: “I’m not a fan of hers. I wish Harry a lot “Lucky, he’s going to need it.”
I am a great friend and admirer of the Queen & the United Kingdom. It was reported that Harry and Meghan, who left the Kingdom, would reside permanently in Canada. Now they have left Canada for the US however, the US will not pay for their security protection. They must pay!

Eric Trump: Nobody cares about Prince Harry
As in other things, Donald Trump willingly receives support from his sons in the Harry case. “Frankly, I don’t care about Prince Harry at all, and I think the country does too,” Eric Trump told the Daily Mail. He believes that Harry has “gone off the rails.” In his opinion, the prince’s visa does not have to be revoked.
It is currently unclear whether and when the drama surrounding Harry’s right of residence will come to an end. However, it is highly likely that taking care of this will not be the new president’s first order of business.
