Presidential debate: Kamala Harris introduces Donald Trump

After the TV debate, 63 percent of viewers said Vice President Kamala Harris won against the former president. Three insights from the duel.

When Donald Trump comes on stage, he goes straight to his desk. But Kamala Harris goes not to her president, but to the former president, holds out her right hand and introduces herself with her name.

The 78-year-old looks puzzled. “It’s nice to see her,” he replies. Trump didn’t expect a handshake. The two have never spoken to each other in person before. Harris shows in the first seconds of the presidential debate that she is entering the debate with a strategy of dominance.
