In the best of its 28 laps, Piastri, four times winner this year, covered the 4,675 meters of the Catalan track in a minute, 12 seconds and 760 thousandths, 286 less than the English George Russell (Mercedes) and with 310 on the quadruple world champion Max Verstappen (Red Bull), That he registered third in the time table, with the same time that the other McLaren, that of English Lando Norris -who did it later -, which, like the previous ones, marked it with the soft tire and before performing race simulation.
